Deepblue PMS gets certification

DeepBlue has received the DNV-CP-0206 Type Approval for its Planned Maintenance System (PMS) module, marking a major milestone in the reliability and compliance of the platform’s technical operations suite.

The certification confirms that DeepBlue’s PMS module meets DNV’s rigorous requirements for functionality, reliability, classification-rule alignment, and data handling. PMS software approved under DNV-CP-0206 must pass structured performance tests and demonstrate that it supports safe and compliant maintenance management onboard.

Raising the Standard for Maintenance Compliance

For yacht operators and fleet managers, this approval translates directly into operational benefits:

  • Easier audits and inspections

  • Improved maintenance traceability

  • Recognized third-party assurance for digital records

  • Confidence that the system supports classification compliance

“This certification is more than a badge; it marks an important milestone for DeepBlue and demonstrates that our technology stands up to the same scrutiny our clients navigate daily,” said Diego Zanco, COO of DeepBlue. “We’ve always built with real operational conditions in mind, and this approval validates that our PMS module meets the level of trust, safety, and performance today’s fleets require.”

Supporting the Industry’s Digital Future

DNV highlighted the broader significance of the certification. “DNV is pleased to award DeepBlue the PMS Type Approval Certificate under our new program, which strengthens standards for functionality, data connectivity, and compliance,” said Erik Spieler, Engineer, Machinery and MARPOL, Maritime, DNV AS. “The PMS module meets DNV’s rigorous requirements and enables standardized maintenance data transfer to DNV, a key step toward industry digitalization and the future of classification services.”

Assurance Built Into Daily Operations

The impact is immediate for crews and technical teams. “All maintenance managed through DeepBlue now backs crews with recognized, third-party assurance,” explained Maks Obelšer, CPO at DeepBlue. “In practice, this means clearer maintenance records, easier inspections, and the reassurance that the system they’re using is built to recognized industry standards. And this is just the beginning — we’re already working to expand compliance even further.”
